April “Hike R-17” Challenge

It’s time to announce the April fitness challenge for R-17! Now that Spring has officially sprung, it’s time to get moving. We’re continuing our “Hike R-17” theme, and this month we’re going to visit New Mexico.

 

April Weeks and Turn-In Dates:

Week 1: April 1 to 7 (turn in on the 8th)

Week 2: April 8 to 14 (turn in on the 15th)

Week 3: April 15 to 21 (turn in on the 22nd)

Week 4: April 22 to 30 (turn in on the May 1)

Week 5: None this month

Start

Radium Springs, NM E074 – 10 miles (150 active minutes)

Hatch – 20 miles (300 active minutes)

Garfield – 30 miles (450 active minutes)

Percha Dam State Park – 40 miles (600 active minutes)

Caballo Reservoir – 50 miles (750 active minutes)

Truth or Consequences – 60 miles (900 active minutes)

Elephant Butte Reservoir – 70 miles (1050 active minutes)

Peñasco Canyon – 80 miles (1200 active minutes)

Nogal Canyon Bridge – 90 miles (1350 active minutes)

Fort Craig – 100 miles (1500 active minutes)

Bosque Del Apache National Wildlife Refuge – 110 miles (1650 active minutes)

Finish – San Antonio, NM – 120 miles (1800 active minutes)
